Joint Lunch of CIC Rethymnon on 16th May
On Sunday the 16th of May, the Rethymnon group of the Cretan International Community will meet at 13:00 hrs (1:00 pm) for their monthly joint lunch. The venue is this time the ▶ Taverna Kechagias in ▶ Stavromenos.
There will be a big number of different starters (Mezedes), the price is 13.50 Euros per person. Simply pay for any extra drinks. More information can be found on the ▶ CIC website.

Coffee Morning of CIC Rethymnon on 10th May
On Monday the 10th of May, the Rethymnon group of the Cretan International Community will meet at 11:00 am for their monthly Coffee Morning.
Being the first meeting after the lockdown, it will be held at the Marem Cafe Bistro in ▶ Platanias. More information can be found on the ▶ CIC website.

Taverna Kechagias opens again
Creta Online informs that from Monday, May 3rd on, the ▶ Taverna Kechagias in Stavromenos will again be open every day from 12:00 noon.
In consideration of the currently valid night curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., the taverna closes at 10:45 p.m. until further notice. The kitchen closes at 10:00 p.m.

Discount campaign for rental cars extended
As many fans of Crete can still not make plans for their 2021 vacation in Crete, the ▶ Eurocars car rental extended their discount campaign until the end of April.
In July and August they grant 10 % discount on all models, and in all other months even 15 %. Just make sure to book your car before the 1st of May.

How to get or renew your Residence Permit
UK citizens living in Greece need to achieve a Residence Permit until the 30th of June, 2021, or to renew their existing (beige or blue) ones. The same applies for all other non-EU citizens except some countries, e.g. Switzerland.
